As an IT Management Consultant, you will have a dedicated focus on Accenture’s IT Center of Excellence to support all aspects of client-facing IT sourcing and cost optimization projects. You will work closely with clients and suppliers to drive project initiatives and will lead consulting, problem solving, project management and data analysis that will support strategic client decision making. You will also help deepen the expertise of Accenture’s IT Center of Excellence and capture knowledge to support business development opportunities while scaling Accenture’s IT capabilities. The ideal candidate possesses some experience and exposure to IT procurement and/or negotiations across IT Services & Labor, IT Infrastructure, IT Software, and Telecommunications. Depth in all areas is not required at this level; you will bring existing knowledge and demonstrate a strong aptitude for learning to build your IT procurement base. Responsibilities
Create robust sourcing strategies and cost-out recommendations Provide IT thought leadership and benchmarking Synthesize disparate data sources into insights and clear deliverables Work with clients to identify and interpret key project requirements Develop and nurture relationships with client stakeholders Facilitate development of project plans and overall project management to ensure effective delivery of client work and deliverables Coordinate with subject matter experts within and outside of the firm Work with contractors, consultants, and internal/external resources to align priorities and satisfy stakeholders Contribute to the IT Center of Excellence’s strategic decisions and direction Exhibit integrity in decisions and firm relationships Achieve excellence and dependability through project execution Travel as needed (limited travel) Qualifications
Minimum of 2.5 years of experience executing strategic sourcing projects, including exposure to IT negotiations Proficient in data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI) with experience building dashboards and models Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (minimum 12 years); if using an associate degree, a minimum of 6 years’ work experience Nice to Have
Management consulting experience with a well-regarded firm (strongly preferred) Deep IT category and procurement expertise in hardware, software, infrastructure, networking, cloud services, or labor Comfort in an entrepreneurial, performance-driven environment with a capacity for innovation and process improvement Experience in driving insights using visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx) and analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics) Strong problem solving and independent decision-making abilities Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail Strong verbal and written communication skills Travel
Travel is required for this role and could vary from 10-50% Compensation and Benefits
Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, including location, role, skill set, and experience. Accenture provides a reasonable compensation range for roles in certain U.S. locations.
