Overview As an Logistics Management Consultant, you will have a dedicated focus on Accenture’s Logistics Center of Excellence to support all aspects of client-facing Logistics sourcing and cost optimization projects. You will work closely with clients and suppliers to drive project initiatives and will lead consulting, problem solving, project management and data analysis that will be the basis for strategic client decision making. You will play an important role in deepening the expertise of Accenture’s Logistics Center of Excellence and capturing knowledge to support business development opportunities while helping scale Accenture’s Logistics capabilities.

Responsibilities

Project Execution

Create robust sourcing strategies and recommendations

Provide Logistics thought leadership and benchmarking

Synthesize disparate data sources into insights and clear deliverables

Work together with clients to identify and interpret key project requirements

Develop and nurture relationships with client stakeholders

Facilitate development of project plans and overall project management to ensure effective delivery of client project work and client deliverables

Coordinate with subject matter experts within and outside of the firm

Work with contractors, consultants, and internal/external resources to align priorities, accomplish objectives, and satisfy all stakeholders

Contribute to the Logistics Center of Excellence’s strategic decisions and direction

Exhibit integrity in decisions and firm relationships

Achieve excellence and dependability through the execution of projects and initiatives

Limited travel, as needed

Business Development

Support sales calls

Develop sales-support materials

Provide Logistics thought leadership

Support development and review of client Logistics Spend summaries

Work with team to identify and assess opportunities for savings and cost optimization through various Logistics sourcing levers

Practice Development

Create and curate deliverable content (POV slides, case studies, whitepapers, etc.) to capture Logistics category knowledge and ultimately support internal knowledge share and business development

Develop and execute strategies to aggregate data for ongoing benchmarking, insight generation, and data analysis

Assist with ongoing development and management of intellectual capital

What you need

Minimum of 3 years of experience executing Strategic Sourcing projects/programs, including exposure to Logistics negotiations

Minimum 3 years’ experience developing and executing cost optimization strategies

Minimum of 3 years’ experience spend analysis and savings opportunity diagnostics

Proficient in data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI) with experience building dashboards and models

Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. If associate degree, must have a minimum of 6 years’ work experience

Bonus points if:

Management consulting experience with a well-regarded firm (strongly preferred)

You have proven client-facing skills and are proficient at building and nurturing client relationships

You excel at planning and managing multiple projects, tasks, and initiatives simultaneously

You have deep Logistics category and procurement expertise in one or more of the following – Truckload, LTL, Ocean Freight, Small Parcel

Comfortable in an entrepreneurial, performance-driven environment and a capacity for innovation and process improvement

Prior experience in driving insights using visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx) and analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics)

You have earned an MBA or equivalent graduate degree

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York or Washington as set forth below.

California: 63,800 to 205,800

Colorado: 63,800 to 177,800

District of Columbia: 68,000 to 189,300

Illinois: 59,100 to 177,800

Minnesota: 63,800 to 177,800

Maryland: 63,800 to 177,800

New York/New Jersey: 59,100 to 205,800

Washington: 68,000 to 189,300
