Responsibilities PURPOSE OF POSITION :
The Deputy Chief Financial Officer (Deputy CFO) assists the CFO in the strategic and operational oversight of all financial functions within Lincoln Hospital. The Deputy CFO plays a critical role in ensuring financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, and the effective management of fiscal resources in support of the hospital’s mission to provide high-quality care to the community.
Supervises finance areas including the budget department, grants, property office, affiliation budget, patient access, patient accounts, service lines, and revenue cycle services
Supports the CFO in developing and implementing short-term and long-term financial strategies aligned with organizational goals
Develops internal controls and ensure compliance with financial regulations
Implements directives of the Executive Director, reviews and evaluates existing programs, analyzes financial trends and performance to inform strategic decision-making
Assist the CFO in the design and preparation of timely and accurate financial and statistical reports to evaluate fiscal performance of facility
Monitors departmental spending and identifies opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements
Supervises finance department staff and provides leadership, coaching, and professional development opportunities
Fosters a culture of accountability, transparency, and service excellence
Assists the CFO in ensuring that pertinent financial information is communicated in a timely and effective manner
Serves as a key liaison between the finance department and clinical / administrative leadership.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Hospital or Health Care Administration, Public Health or a related discipline and five (5) years of high-level responsible experience in Hospital, Business, or Public Administration or a Health Care Administrator in a position of direct responsibility for operations of a major part or all of a health care setting, including substantial exposure in meeting community health needs; or
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in disciplines, as listed in “1” above; and six (6) years of high-level experience in areas as described in “1” above.
