Overview

Senior Project Engineer (Aerospace Test Systems) at Moog Inc. Location: Torrance, CA. Hybrid work schedule (3 days/week in the office). Moog is hiring to join our Test Systems Engineering team. You will contribute to the analysis, conceptual design, development, and testing of complex hydroelectric Test Equipment that tests flight control actuation systems and weapons bay actuators for next generation military aircraft. Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and integration of Test Equipment for integrated electro-mechanical and mechanical actuators for military aircraft. Lead a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment with a focus on performance, reliability, and safety. Oversee and manage all project aspects including planning, organizing, coordinating, stakeholder collaboration, risk management, budgeting, and quality control. Maintain documentation and reporting; provide team leadership and seek opportunities for improvement. Guide the evolution of conceptual design and serve as the focal point for customer communications. Develop execution plans, verification plans, test procedures, and verification analyses; ensure successful development through the product lifecycle. Coordinate work of engineers and technicians supporting assignments; communicate effectively with internal and external audiences. Prepare and deliver presentations to customers to support design reviews and technical interface meetings; travel as needed (approximately 5%). Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical is desirable). 7+ years of professional design/development engineering experience (5+ years with Master’s Degree). Experience leading technical teams and managing cost, schedule, and scope for technical projects. Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) fundamentals. Preferred

Experience in Requirements Management, Verification and Validation Methods, and/or Integration and Test. Experience with project planning, scheduling, resource loading; MS Project experience. Design, analysis, and development of complex systems; test experience with electric/hydraulic driven systems. Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, and dSPACE hardware for system performance and real-time modeling. Master of Science Degree in Engineering; experience in the aerospace/defense manufacturing industry. Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: Torrance, CA $130,000.00–$170,000.00 annually.
