Hybrid - Torrance, CA Moog is looking for a

Software Engineer

to join our Software Development Team. You will develop software for automated test stands to test flight control actuation systems. Reporting to an Engineering Manager, you can choose a 9/80 work schedule with a hybrid work option (3 days/week in the office) in Torrance, CA. Moogs Military Aircraft Group is a global leader in designing primary and secondary flight control actuation systems (FCAS) for military aircraft. We design and integrate FCAS systems for aircraft like the F-35 Lightning II and the V-22 Valor. Headquartered in East Aurora, NY, Moog employs 14,000 employees in 24 countries. Responsibilities

Design and implement software for test applications for electrical and mechanical systems Perform systems and software integration and verification activities using real and simulated hardware Define and implement software requirements, perform system integration, execute verification testing, and maintain support of the software in the target environment while controlling project costs and schedule Design and implement software that performs data acquisition and control for automated test equipment Have knowledge of various computer interfaces, including hardware drivers Stay up-to-date on advances in technology and processes for continuous improvement of accuracy, reliability, and cost Develop maintainable software interfaces to electrical and mechanical systems Domestic travel may be required as needed (up to 5%) Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline (preferably Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar) with 5+ years of combined software development and verification experience OR Masters Degree in Engineering with 3+ years of combined software development and verification experience Experience in Python programming This position requires access to United States export-controlled information This position may require obtaining a U.S. government security clearance; citizenship is required. Programming experience in Python, dSPACE, Simulink, LabVIEW Experience in the aerospace/defense industry Strong communication skills with all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders Ability to understand and convey complex regulations and procedures Experience in a Test/Development Lab environment Hands-on mechanical or electrical knowledge How we care for you

Torrance, CA $115,000.00-$135,000.00 Annually Salary Range Disclaimer:
