Software Engineer (Mid-level or Senior) role at Boeing in El Segundo, CA. The Boeing Company is seeking a motivated and talented Software Engineer to join our team in El Segundo. The position is for the design, development and integration of software products for satellite test and other space applications, providing an opportunity to work with experienced, interdisciplinary teams to develop or modify test systems to meet the challenging requirements of our business partners and customers. Position Responsibilities
Develops code and integrates complex software components into a fully functional system Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executes the test procedures and documents test results to ensure software system requirements are met Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving Analyzes and supports factory support issues related to software/hardware integration Develops test architecture for software products (Test Executives, T&C Engine, Tools) Develops and executes software project and process plans, implements policies and procedures Develops new interfaces for new instruments and systems in C, C+, C#, Angular/React, .NET and other object-oriented languages Enhances test case architecture for Bus and RF product testing Builds software environments for testing in the factory and oversees smooth execution of testing Basic Qualifications (Required)
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science Experience working in full software development life-cycle Experience in software programming with C, C++, C#, Angular/React, .NET Experience in shell scripting languages including Python Experience developing verification requirements, verification plans and test procedures Preferred Qualifications
Level 4: 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Active Top-Secret Security Clearance Experience in Object Oriented Application Development Knowledge of telemetry and command formats, timing requirements for satellite communication and processing Familiarity with Model-Based Engineering (MBE) and/or Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including experience in a configuration-managed environment and compliance with standards Knowledge of RF (Radio Frequency) measurements and testing Additional Information
