Evaluate supplier processes including motor winding, rotor/stator assembly, and magnet bonding

Lead supplier industrialization and process validation from design through production ramp-up (APQP, PPAP, IQ/OQ/PQ)

Support suppliers with tooling, equipment, and fixture qualification for precision motor manufacturing

Ensure consistency in torque-speed performance, thermal characteristics, and EMI compliance

Drive supplier audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives

Train and align suppliers on 1X’s quality systems and expectations

Travel up to 40% (domestic and international) for supplier engagement and build support

What You Bring

6+ years in supplier quality, manufacturing, or supplier development (automotive, aerospace, or medical devices preferred)

Hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, GD&T, CAPA, and 8D problem solving

Proven track record launching NPI and scaling motor or electromechanical supplier processes

Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or equivalent quality systems

Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to work hands-on at supplier sites

Certifications (CQE, Six Sigma Green Belt, Lead Auditor) are a plus

Let’s make history. We value smart, kind, mission-driven people. If you’re excited but not sure you meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
