About This Role: The Regional Business Director (RBD) leads commercial activities for an assigned geography, establishes a team of Account Managers, executes marketing strategies, and supports a successful launch. The RBD supervises a field-based salesforce aligned to geographical boundaries and leverages a digital infrastructure to drive performance. Responsibilities
Supervise operations of the Region, including driving results, hiring and coaching, account manager development, performance management, and assigning priority accounts within the medical community Develop and implement strategic plans for the Region with a balance of live and virtual interactions and prioritized team efforts Plan, organize and drive performance to achieve regional business potential through coaching and influence of direct reports Establish and maintain effective communication among Region members and cross-channel stakeholders in Accounts and Market Access teams Maintain technical expertise to respond to questions regarding products, marketing, policies, and business issues Work with direct reports to understand and execute established expectations Coach direct reports to improve selling skills and product knowledge; lead by example in live and virtual engagements Plan and conduct meetings with Region and Market Access teams Develop and implement Region business plan, manage Region budget, and oversee P&L in alignment with expectations Ensure compliance with relevant laws, policies, and processes Overnight travel as needed Additional responsibilities as assigned Qualifications / Requirements
BA or BS required. Advanced degree preferred 5+ years of field leadership experience and/or payer account management with increasing responsibility Pharma/biotech/medical marketing or sales experience with at least 3-5 years in a role with 1st-line leadership Proven ability to lead others through coaching and influence Experience delivering results and developing others Track record in attracting and retaining top talent Current or recent Psychiatry disease experience strongly preferred Successful launch experience strongly preferred Strategic thinking within teams to reach goals Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight timelines Must reside within the territory Comfortable with uncertainty and high expectations Patient support services experience a plus Strong digital marketing aptitude Strong interpersonal and presentation skills Salary & Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this role is $170,000 - $210,000. Axsome offers a competitive package including annual bonus, equity, and generous benefits.
