The OCI Generative AI science team is responsible for growing OCI’s Generative AI, Agent and Analytics services. In this role you will work with teams of applied scientists, engineers, and product managers to deliver high quality services backed by Generative AI models and Analytics solutions that delight our customers with the confidence that their data is safe and protected.
We are seeking an exceptional applied scientist to work on innovative Generative AI & Analytics modeling research and development efforts. As a Senior Principal Applied Scientist in the Generative AI Science team, you will architect, build and deploy cutting-edge AI models and solutions at scale and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy these globally for real-world enterprise use-cases.
Responsibilities
Research and Development: Conduct in-depth research on conversational Agentic AI systems, from design and development to evaluation.
Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing team of scientists and engineers.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate GenAI, Agentic, and conversational capabilities into various applications and products.
Innovation: Identify new opportunities for conversational AI, Agentic AI, Analytics, and related technologies.
Stay Updated: Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and advancements in the above fields.
Qualifications & Experience
PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Linguistics, or a related field with a dissertation, thesis or final project centered on Machine Learning or Deep Learning.
8+ years of relevant experience is preferred; or a Master’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience.
Strong publication record, including as a lead author in top-tier conferences or journals.
Extensive experience in deep learning, NLP, and Agentic AI.
Proven track record of leading research and development projects.
Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and architectures.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong leadership and communication abilities.
Compensation and Benefits US: Hiring Range in USD from: 120,100 - 251,600 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the factors above and internal peer equity.
