Corporate Counsel, Transactions and Regulatory Affairs, will manage all aspects of spectrum transaction processing at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This includes drafting, reviewing, and revising public interest statements, exhibits, maps, and related materials and providing a variety of regulatory support functions for an active transactional portfolio. You will work closely with senior attorneys, engineering and technical experts, outside counsel, and business development teams. Understanding the intricacies of the FCC’s licensing and service rules for mobile broadband spectrum is a fundamental requirement for this position. Additionally, in this role you will support various public safety and disabilities access matters before the FCC, including Wireless Emergency Alerts, Hearing Aid Compatibility (HAC), Disaster Information Reporting System (DIRS), and other similar public safety and disability access matters, in consultation with the Director, Regulatory Affairs responsible for these matters. A successful candidate will have experience managing pleadings, outside counsel, and FCC advocacy associated with these issues. What You’ll Do In Your Role

Draft, revise and manage applications for spectrum transactions at the Federal Communications Commission. Serve as trusted advisor for internal business clients across a range of cross-functional teams, with emphasis on working with Corporate Development, engineering and mapping experts. Review FCC filings of T-Mobile and other licensees including entries in the Universal Licensing System and Broadband Data Collection portals. Drive departmental initiatives, including the development or redesign of legal support processes and templates to increase efficiency and better align to the needs of the business. Draft, revise, and manage FCC pleadings concerning public safety and disabilities access matters, including supervision of outside counsel. Manage regulatory reports and filings necessary to comply with HAC, DIRS, and other federal reporting obligations. The Experience You’ll Bring

2- years of experience as a FCC, DOJ, corporate, or transactional attorney. Telecommunications knowledge or experience in FCC regulatory matters is a must. Technical background including engineering or computer science is a plus. A law degree from an accredited law school and current bar membership (in good standing) in the applicable jurisdiction. Superb written and oral communication skills are required. Computer programming skills are a plus. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Aptitude for identifying and communicating legal risk while balancing creative problem-solving and solution-oriented business advice. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with legal and business professionals, with a variety of personalities, in a complex organization. Curiosity and ability to learn quickly.
