Overview
The SAP Vendor Warranty Specialist will be responsible for designing, configuring, and enforcing vendor warranty processes within SAP EAM/PM for aircraft parts, LRUs, rotables, and engines.
The role involves integrating warranty data into procurement contracts, enabling warranty validation, tracking recoveries, and delivering analytics and reporting to optimize cost avoidance and vendor performance.
Responsibilities
Configure vendor warranty master data for aircraft parts, LRUs, rotables, and engines.
Link warranty terms to equipment masters, serialized parts, procurement contracts, and NATO part numbers.
Embed warranty checks within EAM/MRO processes, including maintenance notifications, shop repair orders, service entry sheets, and depot-level overhaul activities.
Enable warranty coverage validation at the time of work order creation, goods issue, or service confirmation.
Automate warranty eligibility determination during shop visits.
Manage warranty recoveries from vendors (no-charge repairs, replacement parts, or financial settlement).
Integrate warranty data into procurement contracts and ensure flow-down to suppliers/vendors.
Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, and Maintenance teams to capture warranty conditions at source and enforce them during operational use.
Deliver dashboards for active vs. expired vendor warranties across fleets and bases.
Track vendor performance, including response time, recovery value, and repeated failures.
Enable cost avoidance analysis for warranty recoveries, including spares, engine shop repairs, and depot costs.
Lead design discussions with client SMEs and other stakeholders.
Prepare detailed Design/Build documents, configuration rationale, functional specifications, and test scripts.
Requirement/Must Have
5+ years SAP experience, with at least 2-3 years in Vendor Warranty, SAP EAM/PM, and MRO operations.
Strong knowledge of SAP EAM/PM, including equipment masters, serialized tracking, and maintenance orders.
Strong knowledge of SAP MM/Procurement, including contracts, POs, and vendor master.
Expertise in warranty object modeling for aerospace parts and assemblies.
Hands-on experience in aircraft/engine/component warranty processes within MRO programs.
Familiarity with S/4HANA innovations, including Fiori warranty apps and embedded analytics.
Exposure to defense compliance, including traceability, auditability, and NATO stock/part numbers.
Expertise in master warranty definitions, calendar-based and performance-based warranty alerts, customer/vendor contracts, different warranty types, and warranty claims processing leading to vendor invoicing and customer billing.
Should Have / Nice to Have
Experience with SAP iMRO (Aerospace & Defense Add-on) for warranty and repair.
Prior work on OEM or depot-level repair programs.
Experience with supplier collaboration platforms for warranty adjudication.
Skills

Qualification And Education
Relevant degree, diploma, certificate, or professional certification in SAP, IT, aerospace, or related discipline, with experience in SAP EAM/PM and vendor warranty processes.
