Description

The Aviation Repair and Warranty Administrator is a critical role responsible for managing all aspects of aircraft component repairs and warranty claims. This includes the end-to-end processing of repair orders and warranty claims, with a strong emphasis on data analysis to identify trends, drive cost-saving initiatives, and improve financial recovery. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional with exceptional communication skills, capable of transforming complex technical and financial data into actionable business insights.

Essential duties and responsibilities Repair administration

Manage the end-to-end repair process for aircraft components (rotables/repairable), including tracking, documentation, and coordination with vendors. Analyze repair quotes and historical data to ensure cost accuracy and identify opportunities for vendor negotiation. Maintain accurate records of all repair activities, including repair orders, quotes, and work orders. Collaborate with the maintenance and inventory teams to manage component status and expedite repairs to minimize aircraft downtime. Warranty claims management

Adjudicate warranty claims by conducting in-depth technical and financial reviews of documentation and work orders against manufacturer policies. Submit and track warranty claims with suppliers to maximize financial recovery. Investigate and resolve rejected or disputed claims by analyzing data and communicating with suppliers to secure reimbursement or maintenance to improve internal processes. Advanced data analysis and reporting

Collect, organize, and conduct deep analysis of operational data related to warranties, repairs, and component failures. Utilize advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, macros), SQL queries, or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) to identify patterns, root causes, and cost-avoidance opportunities. Develop, maintain, and present regular reports and dashboards on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as warranty spend, repair turnaround times, and financial recovery metrics to senior leadership. Communication and collaboration

Serve as a liaison between internal departments (Finance, Supply Chain and Maintenance) and external parties (manufacturers, vendors) regarding warranty and repair matters. Clearly and professionally present analytical findings and communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers for repairs and warranty reimbursement based on data-driven insights. Train and mentor internal teams on optimal warranty and repair processes informed by data analysis. Requirements

Education:

Bachelor's degree in quantitative fields such as Data Science, Statistics, or a technical field like Aviation Management or Engineering. Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in aviation maintenance administration, warranty claims, or a related role. Proven experience in performing data analysis, identifying trends, and presenting findings. Experience working in a commercial MRO or airline environment is highly preferred.

Technical Skills:

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, macros) is required. Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation is preferred. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus. Proficiency in aviation maintenance tracking software.

Analytical Abilities:

Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical and financial data to drive decisions. Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data findings clearly and concisely. Aviation Knowledge:

Understanding of aircraft components, maintenance procedures, and FAA regulations.
