Overview Ping Identity seeks a highly analytical and strategic

Director, Marketing Analytics & Operations

to lead our marketing analytics function. This pivotal role will transform raw data into actionable insights, drive our marketing strategy, and optimize performance across the entire customer lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a deep understanding of marketing operations, data analysis, and a proven track record of building and leading high-performing analytics teams. You will define our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), establish next-level marketing metrics, and set ambitious but achievable targets aligned with business objectives. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong leadership to guide the analytics team and influence key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) Analysis:

Drive ongoing ICP analysis using internal and external data sources to identify attributes, behaviors, and firmographics that define our most valuable customers. Partner with Sales and Product teams to ensure alignment and operationalization of ICP insights. Develop Next-Level Marketing Metrics & Analytics:

Design, implement, and maintain advanced marketing metrics and reporting frameworks across the marketing journey. Develop predictive models, attribution insights, and customer lifetime value (CLTV) analysis. Customer Lifecycle Performance Measurement:

Establish analytics for the customer lifecycle, identify key touchpoints, and develop dashboards that provide a holistic view of engagement and value. Build Customer Marketing Metric Targets:

Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Product leadership to develop data-driven, measurable targets for all key marketing initiatives and campaigns. Annual Marketing Operating Plan & Target Setting:

Lead the development of the annual marketing operating plan, including targets for pipeline generation, customer acquisition, retention, and revenue contribution. Provide strategic recommendations based on market trends and performance. Team Leadership & Development:

Lead a team of marketing analysts, fostering a culture of learning, data integrity, and analytical rigor. Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities. Data Governance & Infrastructure:

Partner with IT and Data Engineering to ensure data quality and robust marketing data infrastructure. Champion data governance and privacy best practices. Strategic Insights & Recommendations:

Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights for marketing leadership and cross-functional teams. Identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency. Technology & Tools:

Evaluate and implement marketing analytics tools to enhance reporting capabilities and operational efficiency. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or related quantitative field. Master’s degree preferred. 12+ years of progressive experience in marketing analytics, operations, or business intelligence, with 3-5+ years in leadership roles. Proven expertise in defining, measuring, and analyzing marketing performance across channels and the full customer lifecycle (pre-Lead to ARR) at an Enterprise B2B company. Strong understanding of B2B marketing concepts, sales funnels, and customer journey mapping. Advanced proficiency with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot, Pardot), CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker). Expert-level SQL; Python or R for statistical analysis is a strong plus. Experience building and leading analytics teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences. Strategic thinker with the ability to connect data to business outcomes and influence decision-making at all levels. Salary

USA: $160,000 to $180,000 + Bonus. In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085), the approximate compensation range is listed above. Final compensation will be determined by knowledge, skills, and abilities. Life at Ping
