Senior SAP FS-RI Configuration Engineer

is needed to join the Global Finance Technology organization’s Reinsurance team within the OneGL program. Under limited supervision, you would analyze, develop, configure, and support new and existing use cases within FS-RI and FS-CD. You will support production users and configure, test, and train to support maintenance and enhancement of the OneGL finance environment supporting the financial month-end close process. Responsibilities include modifying, testing, data analysis, debugging, maintaining, and enhancing existing programs. Responsibilities

Configures modules according to defined design specs and demonstrates a proficient understanding of transactions and major configuration options for business processes. Identifies and coordinates interdependencies within modules to ensure development activities are positively impacted. Performs data analysis proactively, supports migration loads, and creates reconciliation reports across multiple integration points. Supports testing cycles, develops complex test scripts, and assists coordinating test transactional data creation. Identifies and researches complex testing and configuration defects in FS-RI and FS-CD. Defines designs for functional and technical requirements (e.g., gap analysis, interfaces, reports, enhancements, conversions). Documents architecture development and standards. Identifies design elements of new business processes and package application design. Uses testing tools effectively and documents test results for components within modules or business processes within a mixed team. Identifies process improvements addressing complex functional and package technology gaps within business processes. Analyzes and prepares technology-enabled recommendations to address gaps within business processes. Supports the implementation process including post-implementation support, cutover plans, and transition planning. Other duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor or Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience. Minimum 5+ years of Techno-Functional SAP Finance experience. Minimum 1-3+ years of hands-on FS-RI and FS-CD configuration experience preferred. Extensive knowledge implementing SAP and FI/CO modules. Strong understanding of financial transactional flow, SAP general ledger and reinsurance concepts (e.g., company codes, treaties, chart of accounts, coding blocks, profit centers, cost centers, ledgers, currencies). Strong understanding of reinsurance business processes and ability to map business requirements to standard SAP processes with minimal or no customization. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple organizations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work with ambiguous information. Good understanding of agile software development concepts and processes, including backlog tracking and incremental delivery. Proactive, initiative-taking, and logical thinking with strong consultative skills and design reasoning. Strong negotiation, facilitation, and consensus-building skills. Experience providing production support, requirements gathering, and solution design for enhancements, including configuration-based implementations. Experience within the Insurance or Finance industry is preferred. About Us
