Overview
This position plays a critical role in developing and executing category strategies for complex, high-impact categories. The successful candidate will lead competitive sourcing events, negotiate with suppliers, manage risk mitigation, and form contracts with key suppliers to align with business objectives. Focus areas include transformation projects in IT, making this an exciting opportunity to influence significant projects within the organization. Responsibilities
Develop and implement category strategies to optimize costs and enhance operational efficiency. Apply best practices to manage multiple critical categories effectively. Collaborate with logistics teams to implement optimal inventory strategies. Conduct analyses of supply, demand, market trends, commodity pricing, supplier performance, and contract modeling to inform strategies. Monitor industry trends and supplier risk profiles to ensure alignment with business needs. Lead complex sourcing events, including supplier qualification, evaluation, and selection. Manage tier I supplier relationships to improve total cost of ownership, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement. Create performance-based scorecards to monitor and evaluate supplier performance; lead dispute resolution efforts. Negotiate contracts that support category strategies and business requirements; manage contractor claims. Administer category contract agreements, ensuring supplier compliance with terms. Collaborate with business area management to define contract risk elements and assemble documentation for insurance procurement. Create and manage project plans for category strategy implementation, integrating with business project plans. Skills

skills with a proven track record in contract formation and management. Excellent analytical
skills for market analysis and supplier evaluations. Proficient in project management
methodologies to oversee implementation efforts. Strong interpersonal
skills to foster relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Customer service orientation
with the ability to resolve conflicts amicably. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Project Management, Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience) required. Minimum of 10 years of sourcing experience, with expertise in SAP contracting. Preference for utilities industry experience (not required to be recent). 2+ years of experience in contract formation preferred. Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) certification preferred. Pay Rate Range
Min Pay Rate 69.23 USD hourly; Max Pay Rate 92.31 USD hourly Seniority level
