The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing effective sourcing strategies that align with business objectives. This position involves planning and leading competitive sourcing events, negotiating with suppliers to achieve optimal outcomes, managing risk mitigation efforts, and overseeing ongoing supplier performance. Additionally, the individual will mentor and guide Associate Category Managers, fostering their professional development while ensuring the successful execution of category strategies. Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of category strategies to optimize costs and improve operational efficiency. Conduct comprehensive analyses of supply, demand, market trends, and supplier performance to inform category strategies. Collaborate with logistics personnel to implement optimal inventory management strategies. Develop and manage complex sourcing events, qualifying and selecting suppliers for targeted categories of spend. Oversee tier I supplier relationship management efforts focused on enhancing total cost of ownership, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement. Create performance-based scorecards to monitor and evaluate supplier performance; lead dispute resolution with suppliers as necessary. Negotiate contracts that align with category strategies while fulfilling business area requirements; manage contract changes or additional work orders effectively. Administer all category contract agreements in accordance with contract law principles; manage risk elements in collaboration with business area management. Create and manage project plans for the implementation of category strategies, integrating sourcing plans with business objectives. Skills

Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record in contract formation and management. Excellent analytical skills to assess market conditions and supplier performance effectively. Proficient in project management methodologies to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously. Exceptional interpersonal skills to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Strong customer service orientation with a focus on continuous improvement. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Project Management, Business, Finance or a related field or equivalent experience required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing, purchasing or logistics; 2+ years of experience in contract formation preferred. Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) certification preferred.
