Brentwood Originals is seeking a Vice President of Finance to operate as the senior financial leader of the company. As a key member of the executive management team, the VP of Finance will directly report to the CEO and work in partnership on business strategy development, financial stewardship, and overall management of the company. The VP of Finance will provide strategic vision and leadership across all financial functions while remaining actively engaged in day-to-day financial operations and execution. This dual focus ensures alignment with long-term business goals and growth initiatives while maintaining accuracy and control at the operational level. The successful VP of Finance will focus on profitability, growth, and sustainable financial health.

Key Responsibilities

Provide executive leadership and direction across all finance and accounting functions, serving as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team.

Oversight of the financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of transactions.

Analyze financial data, identify variances, and address discrepancies.

Lead long-range financial planning, capital allocation strategies, and scenario modeling to support company growth.

Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to comply with accounting standards and regulations.

Create and document procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy of reporting and forecasting processes.

Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues, working closely with departments.

Drive financial strategies that improve profitability, cash flow, and return on investment, while identifying opportunities for cost optimization and business expansion.

Oversee the IT function of the business. This includes assisting in the leadership of the current ERP project and the execution of its design, development, and implementation.

Assist HR with the administration and operation of the company’s retirement plan.

Assess and develop existing team members to optimize performance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing financial insights that influence key business decisions.

Stay updated on accounting standards, industry trends, and regulatory changes, and proactively assess their implications on company strategy.

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business. CPA preferred; MBA strongly preferred with emphasis in finance or strategy.

10+ years of progressive senior financial leadership experience, including executive-level management responsibilities.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

Proven expertise in strategic financial planning, corporate finance, investor relations, capital markets, and enterprise risk management.

Experience in finance, tax, financial planning, analysis, reporting, cash management, budgeting, forecasting, project management, as well as the development, implementation, and presentation of related reports and statements.

Proven experience in leading an IT department.

Manufacturing experience

Experience with the development of ERP software and migration from prior legacy software.

Experience in retirement plan administration and required statutory reporting.

Strong organizational leadership abilities with a willingness to act as both a strategic leader and operational partner.

Demonstrated success in guiding organizations through growth, transformation, or complex financial environments.

Salary Range:

$180,000 – $220,000 annually (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
