Overview
Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid to Senior Projects & Energy Finance Associate to join a prestigious Am Law 100 firm, with the flexibility to be based in any of the firm's US offices. This position will focus on the financing of energy transition and digital infrastructure projects, offering the opportunity to work on innovative and internationally recognized deals. Locations

Work with a dynamic team on financing projects in the energy transition and data center sectors. Draft, negotiate, and manage the preparation of loan and security documentation. Coordinate complex closings and provide strategic legal counsel to clients. Work on cross-border projects, collaborating with multiple stakeholders and offices. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including energy companies, investors, and financial institutions. Stay current on developments in the energy finance space and provide valuable insights to clients. Qualifications
Education: JD from an accredited law school. Bar Admission: Licensed to practice in the jurisdiction in which you are applying. Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in project finance, energy transition, or digital infrastructure financing. Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating loan and security documentation. Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Strong oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience with complex finance transactions, preferably in energy or infrastructure sectors. Work Environment
Hybrid: Regular in-office presence with some flexibility for work-from-home. Compensation
The firm’s expected hiring range for this position is $310,000 - $435,000 per year, depending on the candidate’s geographic location, experience, and qualifications.
