Senior Director, Clinical Development – Respiratory
Warman O’Brien is delighted to be partnering on the appointment of a Senior Director, Clinical Development - Respiratory.
This senior leadership position offers the opportunity to drive late-stage global clinical programs in respiratory medicine. Ideal for an MD looking to remain hands-on in medical monitoring and clinical strategy while shaping pivotal programs, this role combines strategic influence with day-to-day scientific leadership in advancing innovative biologics.
Key Responsibilities
Provide medical leadership for late-stage global respiratory trials.
Lead Clinical Development Teams, ensuring patient safety, and operational excellence.
Define and refine clinical development strategies aligned with global regulatory expectations.
Oversee protocol development, study design, data review, and medical monitoring.
Contribute to regulatory submissions (BLA / MAA) and represent programs to health authorities.
Engage with investigators, advisory boards, and external experts to support program success.
Required Skills & Experience
MD (required), board certification in related specialty Allergy & Immunology or Pulmonology highly sought after.
8+ years of clinical development experience in the biopharma industry, ideally both small and large company experience.
Proven track record in either asthma or COPD clinical trial design and delivery.
Successful leadership of late-stage trials and regulatory submissions.
Strong cross-functional leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
