Overview Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital (JHACH) in St. Petersburg, Florida is actively recruiting a Pediatric Neurohospitalist to join our rapidly expanding Child Neurology Program. This unique position offers a dynamic, four-physician service with a four-week rotation. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with specialists in Neurosurgery, Neuroimaging, Neuro-oncology, and Neuropathology to provide the highest standard of care to our pediatric patients.

Position Details The Neurohospitalist role entails the following rotating schedule:

Week 1:

Daytime inpatient service, managing hospitalized pediatric neurology patients.

Week 2:

Night shift coverage (in-house not required).

Week 3:

Acute care clinic reserved for urgent pediatric neurology consultations (e.g., first-time seizures), not intended for long-term management.

Week 4:

Off.

Additional expertise or interest in the following areas is highly desired:

Pediatric Stroke

Pediatric Epilepsy

Neuroimmunology

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive inpatient neurohospitalist services for pediatric neurology patients.

Participate in collaborative care with the Pediatric Epilepsy and Child Neurology teams.

Engage in educational opportunities, including teaching and mentoring neurology, pediatrics, and neurosurgery residents and fellows.

Contribute to the development of the Child Neurology program, focusing on patient care and clinical innovation.

Participate in institutional research activities, fostering advancements in the field of pediatric neurology.

Qualifications

Board-certified/board-eligible in Pediatric Neurology.

Eligibility for licensure in the state of Florida.

Strong interest in acute pediatric neurology, stroke, epilepsy, and neuroimmunology.

Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Excellent communication and teaching skills.
