Overview

Pediatric Neurohospitalist position at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. The neuro-hospitalists work with advanced practice providers, adult and child neurology residents, and pediatric residents to support inpatient care across multiple units. Inpatient coverage includes daytime and nighttime shifts, 2 weeks per month with 1 week at time off or for research. Responsibilities

Provide inpatient pediatric neurology coverage on general floors, the PICU, CVICU, and NICU units as part of the Neurohospitalist service. Review EEGs; formal EEG reports are prepared by clinical neurophysiologists and epileptologists. Collaborate with the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Institute for Brain Protection Sciences and work with specialists in neurosurgery, neuroimaging, neuro-oncology, neuropsychology, and neuropathology. Educate neurology, neurosurgery and pediatrics residents and fellows as part of the department’s teaching mission. Support the existing program with potential subspecialty interests in neuro-critical care and stroke. Qualifications

Comfort with reviewing EEGs; willingness to work with EEG reports produced by neurophysiology colleagues. Subspecialty training in neuro-critical care and/or stroke is encouraged. Interest in research is strongly supported; academic appointment at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is available and commensurate with experience. Strong collaborative and teaching skills suited to a teaching hospital environment. Program and Department

The Neurology department includes practitioners with expertise in epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, headache, neurocutaneous conditions, neuro-oncology, and hospital-based care. The Johns Hopkins All Children’s Child Neurology Residency Program is a five-year, ACGME-accredited program. Location and Benefits
