Overview
We are seeking a fellowship-trained Breast Surgeon for our NAPBC-accredited Breast Center. The UHS Breast Center has state-of-the-art equipment with digital breast tomosynthesis, digital mammography, ultrasound, bone density, MRI, and stereotactic, MRI and ultrasound-guided biopsy. The multi-disciplinary care is supported by a team including surgeons, radiologists, plastic surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and a fellowship-trained oncologist surgical breast pathologist. This team enables rapid specialty consults when necessary. There are opportunities for teaching residents and medical students from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, as well as the ability to participate in clinical research. Qualifications
Fellowship-trained Breast Surgeon Board certified or eligible Completed an ACGME-accredited program Responsibilities
Provide care within a NAPBC-accredited Breast Center as part of a multidisciplinary team Collaborate with radiologists, plastic surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, and a fellowship-trained oncologist surgical breast pathologist Support rapid specialty consults and comprehensive breast care for patients This surgeon will not take general or trauma call Participate in teaching residents/medical students and potential clinical research Utilize support services including dedicated genetic counseling, lymphedema services and nurse navigation Compensation and Contact
