Hendricks CareerTek is a state-of-the-art, not-for-profit career center offering innovative, nimble and experiential career exploration and learning opportunities for young people. Partnering with business, education providers, parents and workforce professionals, CareerTek works to build experiential pipelines in demand occupations in order to position area youth for successful post-secondary transitions and to create strong talent pipelines in the Greater Beloit region. The Center is a collaborative project of the Stateline Boys and Girls Clubs and the Hendricks Family Foundation. Job Description

Position is responsible for providing robust healthcare pathway opportunities for students and build a talent pipeline for employers. This position will develop quality interactive programs, events, and experiences to expose and inform students in order to increase their ability to make effective career-related decisions. The Healthcare Pathways Director will build partnerships and facilitate working connections between educational organizations and business partners within the Greater Beloit Area. This person will serve as a central point of contact to design innovative and high-quality student and business connections and learning/training opportunities in the healthcare field. What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate for this position will be an experienced, career-focused educator with a proven ability to work effectively with a diverse demographic of students and parents, school districts, and industry professionals. The candidate will be driven to excellence and passionately committed to educating young people and helping to position them for a successful future. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an understanding of healthcare career pathway needs of educators and businesses, and will blend those to create experiential opportunities for youth. The candidate will be innovative with an ability to creatively implement strategies to build healthcare career exploration opportunities. The candidate will combine education experience with workforce knowledge in order to assist with the continuation of building CareerTek into a model for career pathway planning. Key Roles (Essential Job Responsibilities)

Develop and implement CareerTek healthcare educational programming in order to support the effective achievement of CareerTek goals and strategic plans with an emphasis on building hands-on, experiential learning opportunities. Oversee and prepare students for the CNA Scholarship Program. Plan and implement engaging healthcare-related after-school programming, job shadow placements, events, summer academies, certification programs, and career explorations. Assist with the building and maintenance of strong healthcare partnerships. Work in coordination with CareerTek team members and community partners to understand regional talent needs in order to ensure that opportunities are both industry-informed and appropriate for middle and high school students. Create and maintain collaborative working partnerships with Greater Beloit Area School district leadership and key CTE partners. Build opportunities to offer regional, multi-district career-focused healthcare programming. Act as a key community leader and expert on healthcare career pathway activities. Collaborate with healthcare partners and develop the “Dare to Dream, Healing the Future” event. Support the CareerTek team in identifying and maintaining the educational needs and materials for Healthcare and other programming. Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree in Healthcare, Education, Public Health, or a related field required Experience working with middle and high school aged youth in an education or healthcare career environment. Knowledge and experience collaborating with educational institutions and programs preferred. Have or be willing to obtain healthcare-related certifications or training. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and must be self-driven. Ability to maintain confidentiality of business and student information. Must have exceptional internal and external customer relationship/communication skills. Ability to interact with diverse populations. Detail oriented, with the ability to understand budgets and cost of training programs. Ability to manage multiple, complex projects. Ability to organize, coordinate and prioritize job duties. Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally (such as materials, event setup, or equipment). Comfortable working in office, classroom, and community event settings. Must be able to travel locally between schools, healthcare partners, and CareerTek sites as needed. Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends for events or special programming. Benefits
