Role Overview
We're seeking a mid to senior-level DevOps Software Engineer to join our 45-person engineering team and help scale our robotics and AI infrastructure. In this role, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining the continuous integration and deployment systems that power our cutting-edge robotics development, ensuring our teams can rapidly iterate and deploy updates to our autonomous robot systems. Key Responsibilities
Partner with software teams to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability and reliability for our robotics workloads Lead release engineering efforts, coordinating software deployments across development, testing, and production environments Collaborate with development teams to streamline the software development lifecycle and reduce time-to-market Implement automated testing, monitoring, and alerting systems to ensure system reliability Participate in on-call rotations during Pacific Daylight Time to maintain 24/7 system availability Support release testing and QA processes to ensure high-quality software delivery Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand infrastructure needs and implement scalable solutions Requirements
3-5 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or related roles Strong expertise with CI/CD systems, particularly GitLab Solid experience with modern cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, GCP, Azure) Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.) Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) Experience with monitoring and logging tools Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications
Release Engineering experience in high-tech or robotics environments Experience with Gitlab, CircleCI or other CI/CD platforms beyond GitLab Release testing and QA automation experience Knowledge of robotics or AI development workflows Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) Understanding of network security and best practices Benefits & Compensation
