Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Specialty Compliance and Ethics (IP Controls) leads the design and optimization of global intellectual property enforcement controls across Walmart’s ecommerce platforms. The right person in this role will develop scalable systems that prevent brand evasion and counterfeit activity with a focus on high-recognition brands and risk-based enforcement. The Senior Manager oversees a small team and collaborates cross-functionally to enhance controls, mitigate risk, and balance operational brand protection and compliance priorities and impact. We partner closely with Legal, Product, Engineering, and international stakeholders to ensure Walmart’s IP controls are effective, scalable, and responsive to evolving risks. Lead the development and refinement of global IP enforcement controls, including automated and semi-automated systems to detect and block brand evasion tactics. Establish and manage risk-based controls for high-recognition brands, including enhanced vetting and geographic restrictions. Monitor violation trends and ensure high-risk accounts are escalated appropriately in alignment with compliance standards. Oversee a hybrid team of internal and outsourced agents executing IP control workflows. Drive operational excellence through data-driven improvements and cross-functional collaboration. Partner with Legal, Policy, Business, and Operations teams to ensure enforcement systems remain accurate, scalable, and brand-sensitive. What you'll bring

3–5+ years of experience in intellectual property enforcement, brand protection, or compliance operations. Proven ability to design and implement scalable enforcement systems across global platforms. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to balance enforcement rigor with business impact. Experience managing cross-functional initiatives and leading geographically distributed teams. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. A high degree of ownership and independence—able to lead complex initiatives with minimal oversight and navigate competing priorities. Bachelor’s degree. Expertise in Excel with the ability to analyze data and trends to inform strategic planning and operational improvements.
