Your expertise will directly impact the development and sustainability of our Infusion Pump Platforms, ensuring that we deliver exceptional products that truly make a difference in the lives of patients and healthcare providers.
What You'll Be Doing
Drive Innovation: Implement best practices in software systems development and product lifecycles, collaborating with the development team to advance healthcare technology.
Lead with Expertise: Provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Solve Complex Challenges: Develop innovative technical solutions to intricate software system problems with high quality and timely delivery.
Collaborate Across Functions: Work with Commercial and Clinical stakeholders to translate user needs into precise system requirements.
Manage Risk: Conduct risk analysis for software and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard products and users.
Define Testing Strategies: Partner with verification engineers to establish robust testing strategies and ensure compliance and quality.
Participate in Design Reviews: Contribute insights to software design reviews to enhance functionality and user experience.
Agile Planning and Execution: Estimate, schedule, and complete tasks within an agile framework to keep projects on track.
Enhance Collaboration: Promote best practices and mentorship while translating software requirements into effective test architectures.
Interface with Key Teams: Collaborate with manufacturing, service, and customer training during design transfer for seamless integration.
Ensure Compliance: Uphold high standards of compliance with product development processes and quality systems.
What You'll Bring
A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline with 10+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
Experience with electro-mechanical devices is preferred, enabling bridge between software and hardware solutions.
Background in agile development with hands-on experience in creating and maintaining product backlogs.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Familiarity with working in a regulated industry and understanding of compliance and quality assurance processes.
Excellent documentation skills for meticulous technical specifications and processes.
Benefits and Employment Information Baxter is committed to flexible workplace policies and equitable pay practices. This position may be eligible for discretionary bonuses. The estimated base salary range is $128,000 to $176,000 annually; actual compensation may vary based on location, skills, experience, and other factors.
