Drive Innovation: Implement best practices in software systems development and product lifecycles, collaborating with the development team to advance healthcare technology.
Lead with Expertise: Provide technical leadership, guidance, and feedback to team members to foster continuous improvement and excellence.
Solve Complex Challenges: Develop innovative software solutions to complex problems, delivering high-quality results on tight schedules.
Collaborate Across Functions: Lead cross-functional teams with clinical and commercial stakeholders to translate user needs into precise system requirements.
Manage Risk: Conduct risk analysis for software and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard products and users.
Define Testing Strategies: Work with verification engineers to establish robust testing, verification, and validation plans with requirement tracing for quality and compliance.
Participate in Design Reviews: Contribute insights in software design reviews to enhance functionality and user experience.
Agile Planning and Execution: Estimate, schedule, and complete tasks within agile planning processes.
Enhance Collaboration: Promote better processes and mentorship, translating software requirements into effective test architectures.
Interface with Key Teams: Collaborate with manufacturing, service, and customer training in the design transfer process to ensure seamless integration.
Ensure Compliance: Uphold high standards of product development processes and quality systems in healthcare solutions.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, with 10+ years of systems engineering or related experience.
Experience with electro-mechanical devices is preferred, bridging software and hardware solutions.
Background in agile development with hands-on experience in maintaining product backlogs.
Excellent oral and written communication skills for clear articulation of ideas.
Experience in regulated industries with understanding of compliance and quality assurance.
Strong documentation skills for meticulous recording of technical specifications and processes.
Baxter is committed to flexible workplace options, with a minimum onsite days policy. The policy is subject to local laws and business needs. Compensation information: estimated base salary for this position is
$128,000 to $176,000
annually. The final offer may vary based on location, skills, experience, and market conditions. This position may be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
