We are seeking a
System Engineer Sr.
to join our team in support of a federal client. This role is
100% remote , with occasional on-site attendance if specifically requested by the customer. You will play a key role in operating and maintaining Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems to ensure secure authentication, encryption, and compliance across the enterprise. What You’ll Do
Manage and maintain the enterprise Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) system in support of staff and devices. Oversee the issuance, renewal, and revocation of digital certificates, ensuring compliance with organizational security policies and federal standards. Monitor PKI operations and troubleshoot issues related to authentication, encryption, and secure communications. Provide lifecycle management for certificates and keys, ensuring timely updates and remediation of vulnerabilities. Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to integrate PKI services with identity and access management solutions. Maintain documentation of PKI procedures, policies, and technical configurations. Ensure adherence to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for PKI-related services. What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline. Minimum 6 years of experience in system engineering, authentication, or PKI system management. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or under general direction. Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to explain technical issues to non-technical users. U.S. Citizen, eligible for a Public Trust clearance. Preferred Skills & Certifications
Prior experience managing federal government PKI systems. Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS) or equivalent PKI platforms. Experience integrating PKI with enterprise applications and security tools. Why You’ll Love Working Here
