The Project Associate works on projects and/or academic research projects and explores new policy areas. Duties include preparation of white papers, organization of research colloquia, expert meetings, coordination of interdisciplinary research team, and grant writing. Academic projects involve working closely with faculty to produce scholarly works for publication; in some cases, this work results in joint publication. Responsibilities

Conduct legal and policy research on relevant national and global health law topics (e.g., public health law, international health regulations, health and human rights). Supervise Research Assistants and student researchers as needed; contribute to legal and policy writing, presentations, and participation in related conferences and events. Support ONeill Institute/Global Health Law LL.M. courses to expand experiential learning opportunities; manage relationships with external clients to define and support student papers and evaluate work; assist in course development and execution. Engage in short-term advanced research projects with the Institute’s Director, faculty, and staff. Produce and assist with white papers and scholarly works for publication; facilitate coordination of interdisciplinary research teams. Participate in event attendance, fundraising support, networking, academic support, and institute activities including travel as needed. Work Interactions and Work Mode

Reporting to the Co-Directors of Health Policy and the Law, the Project Associate communicates with partners and funders externally and with institute staff and professors internally to gather information for research projects. JD or JD/MPH At least 3 years of health law and/or health policy experience with some supervisory experience Familiarity with both domestic and international health law topics Academic and working knowledge of health law research topics Excellent research and legal writing skills Professional and mature interaction with academic and other stakeholders Ability to work well as part of a small team Ability to supervise student work in a professional manner Preferred Qualification

Exceptional academic credentials, including publications Pay Range

The projected salary range is $54,616.00 - $100,493.33. Compensation is determined by factors including qualifications, experience, education, skills, and the University's needs. Application and Equity Information
