Project Associate - O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law - Georgetown University Base pay range: $54,616.00/yr - $100,493.33/yr Georgetown University comprises two unique campuses in the nation’s capital. Works on projects and/or academic research projects and explores new policy areas. Duties include preparation of white papers, organization of research colloquia, expert meetings, coordination of interdisciplinary research team, and grant writing. Academic projects involve working closely with faculty to produce scholarly works for publication; in some cases, this work may result in joint publication. Projects include legal and policy research on relevant national and global health law topics (e.g., public health law, international health regulations, health and human rights) with duties including supervision of Research Assistants (RAs) and student researchers, technical writing, presentations, and participation in related conferences and events. Support O’Neill Institute/ Global Health Law LL.M. courses to expand experiential learning opportunities; cultivate and manage relationships with external clients to help define and support student papers and evaluate work; support course development and execution. Provide legal and policy writing and research support; assist with event attendance, fundraising support, networking, academic support, and Institute operations; some travel may be involved. Communicate externally with partners and funders for assigned projects and internally with institutes, clinics and professors to obtain information relevant to research projects. Qualifications
JD or JD/MPH At least 3 years of health law and/or health policy experience with some supervisory experience Familiarity with both domestic and international health law topics Academic and working knowledge of research topics related to health law Excellent research and legal writing skills Ability to operate professionally and maturely in interactions with academic and other stakeholders Ability to work well as part of a small team Ability to supervise student work in a professional manner Preferred Qualification Exceptional academic credentials, including publications Work Mode
