Front-End Lead Developer About the Role: We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Front-End Lead Developer to join our dynamic team in San Francisco. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to lead cutting-edge UI/UX initiatives, architect scalable front-end solutions, and collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and modern front-end architecture, with a strong focus on accessibility, performance, and user experience. Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of scalable, responsive, and accessible web applications using React, TypeScript, and GraphQL. Architect and implement Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) solutions using Node.js to streamline UI data consumption. Drive accessibility-first development practices, ensuring compliance with WCAG 2.0/2.1 standards. Optimize front-end performance through techniques like lazy loading, caching, and selective hydration. Integrate CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows using tools like Jenkins, Terraform, Cloud Build, and Vercel. Lead migration efforts from legacy systems to modern frameworks (e.g., AngularJS to React). Implement robust testing strategies including Jest, Cypress, BDD, and React Testing Library. Mentor junior developers and foster a collaborative, agile development environment. Required Skills & Experience
15+ years of front-end development experience, with recent leadership roles. Strong experience with GraphQL, Apollo Client, and RESTful APIs. Hands-on experience with Node.js, Express.js, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). Proven track record in building Single Page Applications (SPA) and Responsive Web Design (RWD). Deep understanding of accessibility engineering, including ARIA attributes and screen reader compatibility. Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform. Familiarity with Next.js, React Native, and mobile-first development. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Experience in e-commerce, fintech, or enterprise SaaS platforms. Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Firebase. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA, Git, and Webpack. Seniority level
