Overview Qualitative UX Researcher

— The Planet Group is looking for a Qualitative UX Researcher to join our lifestyle brand technology client on a 12-month contract. This is a full-time, remote role (40 hours/week).

Location : Remote

Duration : 12 Months

Pay : ~$75/hr, DOE

Qualitative UX Researcher Responsibilities

Tackle high priority projects across teams working on search journeys

Conduct qualitative research that varies in approach, scale, scope, timeframe and methodologies (e.g., concept testing, usability testing, in-depth interviews, or diary studies)

Scope and define research studies with guidance from other researchers and in alignment with cross-functional partners (product management, design, engineering, and data science)

Execute research projects from beginning to end (construct a research plan, recruit participants, gather data, synthesize learnings, and socialize insights)

Proactively share research findings and recommendations with product teams and other audiences in compelling, actionable, and engaging ways

Qualitative UX Researcher Qualifications

3+ years experience designing and conducting end-to-end product research at a consumer-facing tech company

Experience with conducting evaluative and tactical research

Comfortable running research sessions with design prototypes (e.g., via Figma)

Strong ability to tie research insights to actionable and specific product implications

Excellent communication, storytelling/narrative building, and presentation skills

Collaborative approach to research and ability to bring stakeholders along for the process

Ability to operate in a fast-moving environment and ramp up to a new product area
