Full Time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for a Large Public Health and Hospital System in Silicon Valley Better Health for All County of Santa Clara Health System (CSCHS), a large public teaching healthcare system affiliated with Stanford University School of Medicine, is seeking a full-time BE/BC child and adolescent psychiatrist to join the Department of Psychiatry. CSCHS is the second-largest county-owned health system in California and serves the 1.9 million people of Santa Clara County. SCVH consists of four hospitals: Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC - 731 beds), Oarmer Hospital (OCH - 358 licensed beds), Saint Louise Regional Hospital (SLRH – 93 licensed beds), and Regional Medical Center (RMC - 258 licensed beds). It also includes a network of primary care clinics, urgent care clinics, dental services, primary care behavioral health services, and a broad range of specialty services in the Valley Specialty Center. SCVMC hosts four residency programs and one fellowship, and partners with Stanford University School of Medicine and Stanford Healthcare for clinical training. SCVMC is a verified Level 1 Trauma Center, a Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center, an ABA-verified Burn Center, a Primary Stroke Center, a Level 4 NICU, and a CARF-accredited Rehabilitation Center. The health system serves the County and the broader region. Providers use an integrated electronic health record (Epic). The Department of Psychiatry is staffed by 90 employed psychiatrists, several contracted psychiatrists, psychologists, advanced practice providers, and licensed clinical social workers who provide prevention, education, and treatment to all residents of Santa Clara County, regardless of ability to pay. We operate a 24/7 psychiatric emergency room (EPS), a seven-day-a-week mental health urgent care clinic, two inpatient units, adult and juvenile custody clinics, and multiple child/adolescent mental health and substance treatment clinics. Our Division of Consultation and Liaison psychiatry provides inpatient consults to internal medicine, surgery, OB/GYN, pediatrics, trauma, rehab, and the ED. We emphasize teaching to trainees from other specialties and work with an integrated EHR. Our staff are ethnically diverse and provide trauma-informed, culturally appropriate services in many languages. About the Position
We are seeking board-eligible/board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists to join our team and support the new Behavioral Health Pavilion, providing emergency and inpatient services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience and proficiency in child and adolescent psychiatric care for a diverse patient population in a culturally sensitive manner. Compensation and Benefits
