Overview
RH is seeking a Director of Corporate Safety & Security to play a pivotal role in fostering a safe and secure environment for our people, across all facets of the organization. This leader will serve as the central point of contact for safety and security matters, addressing incidents with a strategic and solutions-oriented approach. The Director will collaborate with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional partners, to ensure a comprehensive and integrated safety strategy. The ideal candidate is committed to service, educating and empowering teams to prioritize safety and security at every level. This role is based at RH’s Headquarters in Corte Madera, California, and requires regular in-office presence.
Responsibilities
Drive global Safety and Security strategy, including policy development, compliance initiatives, and program implementation to protect organizational assets and personnel
Lead the department as the main point of contact for the organization for all safety and security-related incidents
Proactively assess risks to anticipate and address the safety and security needs of the organization and Leadership Team
Establish and maintain a network of cross-functional internal collaboration and external partnerships, ensuring vendor accountability for delivering exceptional service
Lead the investigation and management reporting of workplace violence incidents and criminal activities
Serve as the primary liaison with local security, law enforcement, and external agencies to foster collaboration and ensure coordinated support
Conduct comprehensive security audits to identify vulnerabilities, ensure compliance, and enhance the organization's overall safety and operational performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations to the executive leadership team
Foster a culture of safety and security awareness by empowering employees through effective communication, comprehensive training, and active engagement
Qualifications
10+ years of leadership experience in security and risk management, with a background in law enforcement, military, or industries such as retail, hospitality, or restaurants; experience in a global organization is preferred
Knowledge and practical experience with Physical Security Technology and Systems, including armed and unarmed security operations
Experience in managing contract security guard services, as well as overseeing and executing Executive and Employee protection programs
Professional designation in security management (e.g., ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP), preferred
Coordinate event security plans, including ensuring seamless communication with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and law enforcement partners, and providing on-site oversight during events to ensure safety and compliance
Physical Requirements
Valid driver's license and passport are required for domestic and international travel
Maintain flexible availability to support a global organization operating 24/7, ensuring timely response and oversight across various time zones and operational needs
