The Sports Bar General Manager is the strategic and operational leader of the sports bar and restaurant, responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience while driving profitability and maintaining brand standards. This role oversees all aspects of daily front-of-house operations, staff management, financial performance, and guest relations. The General Manager sets the tone for service excellence and ensures that every detail reflects the bar's commitment to quality. This position requires a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of guest service, strong business acumen, and the ability to inspire and manage a high-performing team. In addition to core operational responsibilities, the General Manager plays a critical role in sports programming and event planning. The GM is responsible for curating a comprehensive calendar of sporting events including UFC, NFL, Boxing, NBA, NHL, NCAA, Soccer, and marquee events like the Kentucky Derby, and ensuring all events are properly broadcasted throughout the venue. They also develop and execute themed promotions, viewing parties, and marketing initiatives that drive visitation and enhance the bar's reputation as a premier destination for sports fans. Responsibilities
Lead front-of-house operations, staff management, and guest relations to ensure an exceptional guest experience. Drive profitability while upholding brand standards and quality standards. Oversee sports programming planning, event scheduling, and broadcast coordination for all events. Develop and execute promotions, viewing parties, and marketing initiatives. Cultivate a culture of hospitality, professionalism, and service excellence. Set and communicate performance expectations; mentor and develop team members. Required Qualifications
Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written and verbal form. Minimum 5 years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in a sports bar and/or contemporary/upscale setting. High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to handle a flexible schedule to work weekends, holidays, and all shifts. Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer and culinary trends. Must be at least 21 years of age.
