The Sports Bar General Manager is the strategic and operational leader of the sports bar and restaurant, responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience while driving profitability and maintaining brand standards. This role oversees all aspects of daily front-of-house operations, staff management, financial performance, and guest relations. The General Manager sets the tone for service excellence, cultivates a culture of hospitality and professionalism, and ensures that every detail reflects the bar's commitment to quality. This position requires a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of guest service, strong business acumen, and the ability to inspire and manage a high-performing team. In addition to core operational responsibilities, the General Manager plays a critical role in sports programming and event planning. They are responsible for curating a comprehensive calendar of sporting events including UFC, NFL, Boxing, NBA, NHL, NCAA, Soccer, and marquee events like the Kentucky Derby and ensuring all are properly broadcasted throughout the venue. The GM also develops and executes themed promotions, viewing parties, and marketing initiatives that drive visitation and enhance the bar's reputation as a premier destination for sports fans. Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of daily front-of-house operations, staff management, financial performance, and guest relations to deliver an exceptional guest experience while maintaining brand standards. Lead service excellence and cultivate a hospitality-focused workplace culture with professionalism and attention to detail. Manage sports programming and event planning, curating a calendar of events and ensuring proper broadcasting throughout the venue. Develop and execute themed promotions, viewing parties, and marketing initiatives to drive visitation. Supervise staff scheduling and station assignments to ensure optimal floor coverage and smooth operational flow. Ensure full compliance with Union agreements and labor regulations. Maintain knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, and culinary trends to support menu and service decisions. Maintain guest relations with discretion and professionalism, resolving issues promptly and graciously. Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in a sports bar and/or contemporary/upscale setting. High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to handle a flexible schedule to work weekends, holidays, and all shifts. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must possess or obtain a California Food Handler Certification. Details
