About the Role
The EP Oncology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) co-op position supports the Oncology Portfolio and Compound Development Teams (CDTs) and is dedicated to maximizing the value of the portfolio through the execution of clinical development programs to support successful completion of clinical projects and deliverables that enable worldwide registrations for new indications, enhancements to the label and compliance with regulatory commitments. The co-op also participates in the EP-AI project with the objective to automate literature search, analysis and reporting writing by using the latest AI technologies, such as large language models and reinforcement learning. Qualifications
You are enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science and/or biological sciences related fields. Required: You are passionate about science & operational excellence. You have the latest knowledge and experience in AI, especially in large language models. You have strong problem-solving skills for developing innovative solutions and meeting project objectives. You have demonstrated the ability of critical thinking and prioritization with respect to project objectives. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks with a strong sense of urgency. You possess good communication and interpersonal skills and can work effectively in a team environment. You are proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other commonly used softwares. Preferred: Demonstrated leadership experience is preferred. Additional technical proficiencies in SharePoint and other information technology systems are highly desirable, including experience with PubMed, EMBASE, and other literature databases. We strongly prefer a minimum G.P.A. of 3.7. Other: Daily commute to Titusville Campus, New Jersey, expected. Availability to work Full Time and for the total duration of the role (up to 6 months) is preferred. Being legally authorized to work in the United States and not requiring sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future is required. Responsibilities
Work with the Clinical Leaders and CDTs in the execution of specific tasks and projects in the oncology portfolio related to clinical studies and strategic activities. Work with the Clinical Leaders on clinical trial concept and protocol development, execute clinical studies for post-approval commitments and new indications. Be actively involved in creation of Clinical Study Reports, publication of clinical research findings, and presentations to relevant Health Authorities, advisory committees, and review meetings. Participate in EP-AI project by evaluating related latest technologies and contributing to the progress of the project. Co-Ops/Interns are eligible to participate in Company sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with the terms of the plan. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year.
