In this critical role, you will be the architect and guardian of the company’s network, ensuring its reliability, security, and scalability. You will be responsible for everything from firewall configuration and cloud networking in AWS/Azure to troubleshooting complex connectivity issues for a distributed international team. Key Responsibilities
Network Infrastructure Management:
Design, implement, maintain, and administer all aspects of the corporate network, including LAN, WAN, VPNs, and cloud-based networking (AWS/Azure). Security & Firewall Administration:
Configure and manage network security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and access control lists to protect against threats. Performance Monitoring:
Proactively monitor network performance, availability, and utilization using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds to ensure optimal uptime and identify potential bottlenecks. Troubleshooting & Support:
Serve as the primary point of escalation for all network-related issues, providing expert diagnosis and timely resolution for hardware, software, and connectivity problems. System Administration:
Manage core network services, including DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory, ensuring proper configuration and integration. Maintenance & Upgrades:
Perform regular maintenance, schedule updates, and apply necessary patches to network hardware and software to maintain a secure and efficient environment. Documentation:
Create and maintain meticulous documentation of network configurations, diagrams, processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Automation:
Utilize scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate routine network tasks and improve operational efficiency. Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience. 3+ years of proven experience as a Network Administrator, Network Engineer, or in a similar role. Deep understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) and network services (DNS, DHCP). Hands-on experience with configuring and managing enterprise-grade routers, switches, and firewalls from vendors like Cisco, Palo Alto, or Fortinet. Demonstrable experience with VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL VPN). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a remote setting. Preferred Qualifications
Professional certifications such as
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) ,
CompTIA Network+ , or CCNP are highly desirable. Significant experience with
cloud networking
in
AWS (VPC, Direct Connect)
or
Azure (VNet, ExpressRoute) . Familiarity with network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, PRTG). Experience in an organization with a fully remote or globally distributed workforce. Compensation
The estimated average annual salary for this position is between
