$216,000.00-$270,000.00 The Division of Psychiatry and Medicine within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine is seeking up to two full-time academic psychiatrists for its Inpatient Consultation Liaison Service on its Moses Campus and a full-time academic psychiatrist to join our world-renowned Abdominal Transplant Service.
Responsibilities
Provide direct in-patient consultation care and supervision of trainees' consults, as part of the Consultation Liaison Psychiatry team.
Join a multidisciplinary team that includes four and 1/2 existing Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist positions, two Transplant Psychiatrists, three psychologists, and a social worker.
Collaborate within the transplant center while remaining an integral part of the Consultation Liaison Team.
Participate in education and training of medical students, Psychiatry and Neurology Residents, Consultation Liaison and Addiction Fellows, and Psychology Interns.
Abdominal Transplant Psychiatrist Role The Abdominal Transplant Psychiatrist position follows a collaborative care model and shares the resources of a busy transplant center, including administrative staff, six social workers, a pharmacist, psychologists, care coordinators, nutritionists, and doctors from various disciplines. While embedded in the Transplant Center, the psychiatrist is also part of the Consultation Liaison Team.
Qualifications
Board-certified or eligible in psychiatry.
Additional training in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry and/or Addiction Psychiatry is highly encouraged but not required.
