AI Solution Engineer role at hackajob in collaboration with CGI US. This position bridges AI technology and real-world business challenges, designing, prototyping, and delivering end-to-end AI solutions using the CGI Pulse AI platform. A mix of technical and business focus is required to translate complex problems into scalable AI-driven products or tools. This is a full-time hybrid role requiring on-site presence at CGI offices two to three days per week. Responsibilities
Design and develop AI-powered pipelines to process and extract information from documents including PDFs, scanned images, and digital text. Apply OCR (e.g., Azure Form Recognizer, Google Document AI or open-source models) and layout analysis tools to digitize and structure document content. Engineer end-to-end document processing workflows, including data ingestion, classification, entity recognition, and validation. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand pain points and identify high-impact AI use cases. Rapidly build a proof of concept on CGI Pulse AI platform, including data pipelines, models, APIs, and basic UI components, for validation and testing. Evaluate feasibility and ROI of potential AI solutions; prioritize based on business value and technical complexity. Ensure successful POC outcomes by outlining clear operational or financial gains. Transition from POC to full end-to-end implementation and lead delivery into production. Analyze platform/solution design and cost on CGI Pulse AI platform relative to Azure or GCP. Design AI solutions that can scale and provide a PaaS offering to clients. Design access control, data security, and responsible AI practices. Demonstrate solutions to clients, create blogs, and present CGI Pulse AI capabilities at tech forums and conferences. Collaborate with Pulse AI product owners to add features and contribute to product development. Debug application backend issues, API issues, performance issues, and platform issues of the CGI Pulse AI product and resolve production showstoppers. Perform performance testing of AI solutions and conduct security testing (including penetration testing) of implementations. Track and manage vulnerability fixes for all open-source components used in the implementation. Define and create operations strategy and support manuals for AI solutions on the Pulse AI platform. Set up monitoring and alerting for AI solution accuracy and performance drift. Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in software engineering and AI/ML development roles. 3+ years track record of building and deploying AI-driven solutions in production. 5+ years of strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML frameworks. Experience with both structured and unstructured data. 3+ years of experience with REST APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms. 3+ years of experience with LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and generative AI tools. Experience in data privacy, compliance, and ethical AI principles. Experience in domains such as healthcare, finance, insurance, utilities, or retail is a plus. End-to-end production experience with Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) using LLMA/Gemini/GPT-4.0 models. End-to-end production experience with chatbots to build applications providing Q&A on structured and unstructured data using GenAI. Compensation
Base pay range: $88,200.00/yr - $195,200.00/yr. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $195,200.00. Final compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Benefits
