The Position Strategy, Capital & Engagement (SCE) team – LMI’s hub for insurance business strategy, capital management, and cross-functional engagement – is seeking a high-performing Analyst. This role supports key strategic initiatives across SCE’s core mandates. Reporting to a Director and working with two Associates, the Analyst will contribute to strategic projects and analyses.
Responsibilities
Analytical Support: Deliver analytical support across functions including financial modeling, income and capital attribution, risk-return analytics within LMG’s capital management framework; produce dashboards and reports for executive audiences; provide diligence support for M&A, risk financing, and other capital deployment initiatives.
Strategy and Engagement: Drive strategic collaboration across Corporate functions, US Retail Markets, Global Risk Solutions, and international units by managing action items and coordinating stakeholder requests.
Client Portfolio Management (CPM): Support CPM activities for Liberty’s international portfolios (~$20B AUM), including inquiry triage, solution design, stakeholder engagement, and quarterly reporting.
Project Management: Manage multiple concurrent projects, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful execution and impact.
Research and Market & Business Intelligence: Generate timely insights on insurance business strategies and strategic transactions (e.g., M&A, reinsurance) and performance across Liberty’s lines of business.
AI, Automation and Tool-Building: Serve as the team’s AI and automation champion. Identify workflow inefficiencies and deliver scalable, technology-enabled solutions; collaborate with LMI Product and Embedded Tactical Development teams to transform processes and build self-service tools and dashboards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or related field
1–3 years of analytical experience in investments, insurance, banking, consulting or similar environment
Strong quantitative and qualitative skills, sound decision-making, and excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate quantitative findings into clear narratives for senior audiences
Interest in the intersection of insurance and investment; familiarity with insurance capital concepts (e.g., financial statements, economic capital, rating agency and regulatory capital models, reinsurance, sidecars, M&A)
Professionalism to collaborate with executive and senior management across insurance, portfolio management, and consultants
Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; working knowledge of SQL or Python; BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) or Aladdin is a plus
Self-starter in a fast-moving, cross-functional setting with the ability to juggle multiple priorities

The full salary range reflects market value and provides progression opportunities as employees grow.
