Overview

Senior Accountant role at Lactalis American Group. The Senior Accountant will support the financial controller in the month end closing process, lead the closing process, ensure balance sheet reconciliations are complete, and reconcile the cash settlement statement while the Transitional Services Agreement (TSA) governs services performed by KHC. The position will also ensure adequate uploading and reporting information in tools such as HFM and will assist in the year end audit process. Responsibilities

Assist in the reconciliation of the cash settlement statement with KHC through the TSA period Process all necessary journals to ensure month end close is complete Assist in managing accounting interfaces of sub-systems (e.g., payroll) and ensure transactions are recorded at month end Perform ongoing reviews of trial balances to ensure financial statements accurately reflect the financial position of the company Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure bank balances are fully reconciled Assist in maintaining intercompany and intracompany processes, including elimination entries and reconciliations Liaise with KHC on cash settlement differences and ensure these are resolved Upload necessary balances into consolidation tools such as HFM Process consolidation journal entries Process payables and maintain adequate controls over payables Liaise with the tax team on tax impacts of transactions and ensure correct recording of tax impacts Assist in the reconciliation of statutory and management reporting Requirements

Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred CPA/CA or close to completion Experience 5+ years of experience focused on accounting, consolidations, general ledger closing Familiar with Group consolidation tools such as HFM/Hyperion Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Attention to detail, and ability to navigate within large and complex data environments SAP experience advantageous Ability to effectively summarize complex information Good oral and written communication skills Ability to maintain flexibility in an ever-changing environment At Lactalis, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards Program with a variety of affordable benefits and coverage options.
