This is an exciting opportunity to join our IN-PATIENT Oncology team as a FULL TIME Fixed term APP. We are looking for an Advanced Practice Provider (which includes nurse practitioners and physician assistants) to help cover our Oncology unit. Receive sign-out from overnight team. Pre-round on assigned patients, develop a plan of care for the day, present patients on rounds, write daily notes, implement the plan, and respond to nurse-initiated issues. Maintain credentialing to perform procedures such as intubation, central line placement, arterial line placement, chest tube insertion, PD drain placement, chest tube removal, pacing wire removal. Support the APP team as part of a collaborative group with Attending Physicians, Fellows, and other APPs (NPs and PAs). Participate in education of fellows and visiting residents. Adhere to standardized procedures and collaborate with supervising physicians for patient care and decision-making. Assist in operating room training and activities as directed by supervising physicians. Ensure compliance with Joint Commission requirements and hospital service standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient teaching and counseling. Coordinate inpatient and outpatient care and collaborate with other providers and community resources. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, along with licensure or certifications as required. Education: Physician Assistant (PA):

Bachelor’s degree or higher; graduate of an accredited PA program. Nurse Practitioner (NP):

Master’s or doctoral degree in nursing; graduate of an NP program accredited by NLNAC or CCNE. Licensure/Certification: PA:

California PA licensure, NCCPA certification, BLS, and DEA license if prescribing controlled substances to outpatients. Additional board certification may be required by certain services/departments. NP:

California RN licensure, NP licensure, and national NP board certification (ABNS or equivalent). Note: New graduate NPs have up to six months to obtain national board certification. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Pay Range: Compensation is based on level and requirements of the role and may be influenced by education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and internal equity. Typical new team member pay falls within the minimum to midpoint range. Minimum to Midpoint Range (Hourly): $87.55 to $109.44 Student Loan Assistance: Eligible positions may participate in the Student Loan Assistance Program up to $9,600, applied directly to your student loan account.
