experienced Actuary (FCAS)

to join our team. This role will lead actuarial analysis, pricing, and reserving for FAIR Plans and residual market mechanisms, partnering with regulators, plan managers, and senior executives. What You’ll Do

Lead rate analyses, pricing models, trend studies, and reserve reviews for property lines. Interpret state-specific regulatory requirements to develop compliant, actuarially sound recommendations. Present findings to regulators and stakeholders; provide expert testimony when required. Advise senior management on actuarial methods, assumptions, and strategic implications. Incorporate catastrophe model outputs (RMS, AIR) into pricing and exposure analysis. Prepare regulatory filings (e.g. SERFF) and collaborate with regulators/consultants to resolve objections. Design and implement frameworks for pricing, reserving, and predictive analytics. Conduct experience studies, statistical research, and data call interpretations. What We’re Looking For

Education : Bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, or related field. FCAS required; MAAA membership. Experience : 6+ years in casualty actuarial work (property ratemaking & reserving). Catastrophe model experience preferred. Skills : Advanced Excel & statistical software proficiency. Strong technical ability with databases, pivot tables, and actuarial tools. Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multi-tasking abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional team environment. Seniority level
