Talent Acquisition Partner Position Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract, engage, and hire top talent in alignment with the mission and values of the College. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, providing guidance on workforce planning, recruitment best practices, and strategies that strengthen diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Talent Acquisition Partner will play a vital role in ensuring that the institution remains competitive in higher education talent markets. Responsibilities

Partner with department leaders and hiring managers to identify staffing needs and design recruitment strategies. Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks, and offer management. Implement proactive sourcing strategies to build talent pipelines for administrative and staff positions. Promote and advance diverse recruitment initiatives that support the institution’s mission as an HBCU and its commitment to inclusive excellence. Ensure a high-quality candidate experience by maintaining consistent and timely communication throughout the hiring process. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external professional associations, and community organizations to broaden talent pools. Provide training and guidance to hiring managers on interview techniques, selection practices, and compliance with employment laws. Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS to ensure accuracy of recruitment data, compliance with EEO/OFCCP regulations, and preparation of recruitment metrics/reports. Collaborate with HR colleagues to align recruitment efforts with onboarding, retention, and employee engagement strategies. Participate in career fairs, conferences, and community events to promote the institution as an employer of choice. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years of progressive recruitment or talent acquisition experience, preferably in higher education or a complex organizational setting. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of full-cycle recruiting and talent acquisition best practices. Knowledge of higher education recruitment processes and staff hiring protocols. Strong written and oral communication skills, coupled with excellent interpersonal, consultative, and customer service abilities to build and maintain effective relationships across the organization. Proficiency in applicant tracking systems, HRIS platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams and contribute to training and process improvements. Core Competencies

Certifications:

Professional certification in Human Resources or Talent Acquisition (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, CIR, CDR, LinkedIn Certified Recruiter, or equivalent) is preferred. Physical Demands
