Senior Quality Engineer position at Fairchild Imaging, Inc. Base pay range
$120,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Fairchild Imaging, headquartered in San Jose, California, is a specialty image sensor design and manufacturing company with deep experience in developing leading-edge performance CMOS image sensors. Our portfolio of image sensors is used in high-performance imaging applications such as space exploration, medical x-ray, sciences, quantum computing, machine vision, low light, and 360 situational awareness. Responsibilities
Plan, implement, and manage Quality Management System (QMS) functions to ensure ISO 9001:2015 compliance. Drive continuous improvement of product quality; support supplier qualifications and monitoring; conduct audits; oversee inspection and acceptance processes. Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities; manage RMA, CAR, SCAR, and ECN/PCN processes. Evaluate supplier performance through audits and process reviews; ensure compliance with product and process standards. Provide guidance to production technicians on quality standards; supervise QA Inspectors and oversee incoming and final inspections. Report quality metrics to leadership and drive improvement initiatives; manage ROHS and REACH compliance. Ensure adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements and initiate corrective actions as needed. Lead continuous improvement projects to optimize operational effectiveness and enforce QMS compliance across all functions. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related discipline. Minimum 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in a semiconductor or fabless environment. Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and QMS principles. Experience with root cause analysis, problem-solving, and statistical quality methods; proficient in inspection and testing techniques. Hands-on experience implementing CAPA, proficiency in MS Office, and knowledge of ROHS and REACH compliance. Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills; self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ISO 13485, IEC 60601, or other medical device standards. Six Sigma Green Belt or higher; Lean manufacturing training. Experience with semiconductor manufacturing processes; familiarity with document control systems and PCB manufacturing processes. Customer and supplier interface experience; reliability engineering knowledge with statistical tools (e.g., Minitab); familiarity with CCD/CMOS image sensors and/or X-ray detectors. Working knowledge of NetSuite ERP System. Benefits
