Sr. Analyst, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting role at Roku. The SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting group translates complex topics into simplified explanations for business partners and Wall Street. The Controllership team ensures financial compliance, timely close processes, accurate financial reporting and operational excellence across the finance function. This role is based in Roku's San Jose office and reports to the Director, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting. What you’ll be doing

Assist in the preparation and filing of SEC documents, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, ensuring compliance with SEC regulations and US GAAP Conduct disclosure benchmarking against industry peers to support management’s disclosure objectives while maintaining compliance requirements Monitor, assess, and contribute to the implementation of new accounting pronouncements applicable to the company, partnering with stakeholders to analyze organizational impacts Support quarter-end processes, including documentation of monitoring activities over Roku’s strategic investments, impairment analyses on long-lived assets and goodwill, and segment reporting Assist with technical accounting research and analysis on non-recurring and complex transactions Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, including business operations, general accounting, tax, treasury, legal, and HR Contribute to special projects or ad hoc tasks as needed We’re excited if you have

4+ years of experience at a Big 4 accounting firm or in a technical accounting role at a public company CPA license, or equivalent, required Strong knowledge of accounting standards and disclosure requirements under US GAAP and SEC regulations Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel for analyzing large quantities of data and PowerPoint for creating clear and concise presentations Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to self-review work and deliver error-free results A problem-solving mindset, with the ability to work independently and propose solutions or alternatives in the face of ambiguity Curiosity and motivation to learn, grow, and develop knowledge in unfamiliar areas Working knowledge of financial reporting and accounting tools such as Workiva and NetSuite is a plus Experience with XBRL tagging is a plus Benefits
