Overview Clinical Research Coordinator - Radiation Oncology at HDF Comprehensive Cancer Center. Full Time position. Job code: 85004BR. Location: San Francisco, Mission Bay campus. Work style: Fully On-Site. Shift: Days, 8 Hours, Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities The Clinical Research Coordinator will perform independently or with general direction at the fully operational journey level to execute, manage, and coordinate research protocols for the Radiation Oncology program, as directed by the Clinical Research Manager, Principal Investigator (PI), and/or the Associate Director for Clinical Research Programs. Responsibilities may include coordinating data collection and operations of several concurrent clinical research studies under the guidelines of research protocols, UCSF and regulating agency policies. Duties may include:

Support the management and coordination of single or multiple clinical research studies based on size and complexity.

Act as intermediary between services and departments while overseeing data and specimen management.

Manage and report on study results; create, clean, update, and manage databases and comprehensive datasets and reports.

Coordinate staff work schedules; assist with training of Assistant CRCs; assist oversight of other research staff.

Help ensure regulatory compliance with applicable agencies; oversee study data integrity; implement periodic quality control procedures.

Interface with departments to obtain UCSF approval prior to study initiation; maintain regulatory documents in partnership with Regulatory.

Report study progress to investigators; participate in internal and external audits or reviews of study protocols.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits The final salary and offer components are subject to UC policy. Placement within the salary range depends on work experience and internal equity within this position classification. For represented positions, placement follows the collective bargaining agreement. Salary range: $34.32 - $55.19 (Hourly).

Required Qualifications

HS graduation and sufficient experience and demonstrated skills to perform the assigned duties; or equivalent experience/training.

Attention to detail; strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with diverse subjects.

Ability to work independently, complete projects in a timely manner, and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior analytical and writing skills in a science/research environment.

Knowledge of clinical research in oncology and experience managing oncology clinical trials.

Membership in a clinical research professional society; knowledge of research in biological sciences.

Experience with various computer programs and specialized software such as OnCore; experience with electronic medical records.

Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods; ability to travel between campuses; willingness to stand for several hours.

Experience with regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, GCP, CHR, etc.) and familiarity with reimbursement, confidentiality, and data management policies; knowledge of medical terminology.

Ability to work with a sensitive oncology patient population and to collaborate across multiple programs and supervisors.

Fluency with CHR online iMEDris system for protocol submission, renewal, and modification.

Certification by the Society of Clinical Research Associates or the Association of Clinical Research Professionals.

Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Access, Stata, SPSS) and data management in a research setting.

Understanding of relevant regulations and guidelines and ability to apply them to research activities.
