Supply Chain Manager, Integrated Circuits What To Expect

Tesla is looking for a stellar Supply Chain Manager to source semiconductor (EE) components used in design and manufacturing of products in automotive, energy, and robotics. The role will focus on processors and wireless technologies and report into the Electronics Supply Chain organization at Tesla.

What You'll Do

RFI/RFQ: Drafting requests for quotation to support program sourcing activities

Contract Management: Execute contracts such as NDA, Pricing Agreements, Master Agreement and ensure supplier adherence to key terms

Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities for cost reduction in existing and new products

Commodity Management: Address all areas of commodity management including commodity analysis, market conditions, technology roadmaps, cost modelling, and sourcing strategy

Supply Chain Management: Help resolve bottlenecks to support Tesla’s demand and implement measures to prevent recurrence

Supplier Relationships: Manage strategic supplier relationships, including dispute resolution, supplier scorecards, and business reviews

Data Analysis: Compile and analyze data related to supply chain health, component pricing and supplier performance

What You'll Bring

3 – 5 years of experience in sourcing or a supply chain function. Demonstrated ability to understand end-to-end supply chains

Ability to understand component datasheets and specifications and basic knowledge of manufacturing process and quality related to semiconductors

Understanding of engineering product development processes and associated component supply chain maturity

Commercial negotiation skills and familiarity with contractual frameworks

Strong communication, adaptability, and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency in analysis tools like Excel, Power BI etc.

Ability to manage competing priorities and execute tasks with incomplete information while developing risk mitigation strategies

Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time (domestic and international, as needed)

Communicate or influence internal and external stakeholders

Compensation Expected Compensation

$82,800 - $124,200/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
