Description Responsible for overall physician practice operational leadership of BH Cardiac & Vascular in supporting the Physician Executive, Executive Champion and Operational Executive for BH Cardiac & Vascular. Organized through the Baptist Health Medical Group, reporting to Cardiac & Vascular Operational Executive and matrixed to the Cardiac & Vascular Service Line Executive Champion for BHSF. Develops and implements strategic, tactical and performance improvement plans to support current operations and future growth. Serves as the operational liaison between Baptist Health Medical Group and Strategic Planning, Finance, Revenue Cycle Management, Managed Care, IT, Informatics, Quality, Patient Experience and Consumer Access. Collaborates with Cardiac & Vascular Service Line Executive leadership for BHSF and Physician Executive for BH Cardiac & Vascular on the planning of the strategic direction of the institute. Collaborates with physicians and practice leaders to facilitate high quality, cost-effective patient care. Shares in accountability for financial performance of designated sites and programs. Aligns key supporting teams within Baptist Health to define the objectives and achieve targeted goals. Interfaces and/or develops programs and/or services within designated service lines. Communicates effectively and implements system-wide initiatives with ancillary departments. Contributes to growth and profitability by providing operational expertise to existing and potential physician practices. Ensures practice management and operations are conducted in a manner consistent with Baptist Health mission, vision, and service standards. Collaborates with Institute leaders to further develop consistency and standardization for the system. Coordinates with the BHMG Northern Region to develop opportunities for greater integration of care and consistent physician policies and processes.

Responsibilities

Provide operational leadership of BH Cardiac & Vascular practices in support of executive leadership.

Coordinate with Strategy, Finance, Revenue Cycle, IT, Quality, Patient Experience, and other BH departments to implement strategic plans and performance improvements.

Collaborate with service line and physician leaders on strategic direction and growth of the institute.

Ensure high quality, cost-effective patient care and alignment with mission, vision, and service standards.

Manage financial performance of designated sites and programs and drive operational excellence.

Standardize processes and policies across the system and promote integration with BHMG Northern Region.

Qualifications

Degrees:

Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration with healthcare concentration preferred.

Additional Qualifications:

At least 10 years of physician practice operations leadership experience with a track record of meeting operational and financial goals.

Experience in working with Hospitals and other non-physician operations.

Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and effect change across multiple areas.

Self-motivated, professional, detail-oriented, with strong analytical/critical thinking skills.

Ability to lead multi-faceted initiatives and interact effectively with all organizational levels.

Proficiency in MS Office and experience with Practice Management and EMR systems.
